Marketing Strategy of a Selected Nonprofit Organization
Kolomazník, Tomáš ; Kolenc, Jana (referee) ; Chlebovský, Vít (advisor)
The aim of the master thesis is to create a proposal of marketing strategy, resp. segmen-tation and marketing mix for a selected NGO which is aimed at protecting the cultural heritage. The thesis summarizes the principles of elaboration of a marketing strategy, which are needed for internal and external analysis. Emphasis is given to Customer analysis which (together with SWOT analysis) forms the cornerstones for setting the goals of marketing strategy. Benefits should be: increased awareness of the brand and organization’s activities, the acquisition of new customers and additional funds.
Complex Marketing Strategy in the Internet Environment
Novák, Michal ; Štědroň,, Bohumír (referee) ; Koleňák, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis provides basic overview of marketing concepts and tools which are available for the Internet environment. It also provides new trends and opportunities in the online environment. Output of the thesis will be efficient strategy for men's lifestyle magazine with usage of minimum finance sources. Eficiency will be taken by using of combination and application of marketing tools available in the Internet environment. The main goal is to get super-synergy affect of marketing mix components for maximum efficiency and minimum costs.
Cell Surface Markers in Colorectal Cancer
Červená, Klára ; Španielová, Hana (advisor) ; Plocek, Vítězslav (referee)
Colorectal cancer is the most frequent cancer in the Czech Republic. Retrospective analysis of patients with colorectal cancer have led and still lead to the discovery of new biomarkers that may be important in treatment, prediction or prognosis of cancer. The main aim of this thesis was to desribe discovered cell surface proteins (biomarkers) of colorectal cancer, that correlate with colorectal cancer progression, metastasis and patient outcome, and discusses the possibilities of their utilization as cancer cell targets for theranostic purposes. Keywords: colorectal cancer, biomarkers, targeting, theranostics, prediction, prognosis

Targeting of Viral Nanoparticles to CD44 via Hyaluronic Acid
Hustedová, Anna ; Španielová, Hana (advisor) ; Hubálek Kalbáčová, Marie (referee)
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is widely studied as a targeting moiety to CD44 overexpressing cancer cells. Various types of nanoparticles (NPs) were modified by HA. Virus-like particles (VLPs) derived from mouse polyomavirus are an interesting class of NPs that can be modified by various targeting agents to increase their potential as gene or drug delivery vehicles for e.g. theragnostic purposes. HA has not been tested as a targeting moiety on VLPs, hence this was the focus of the current study. HA (~14 kDa) was attached to the VLPs via a bispecific Bodipy-derived fluorescent probe. To test the targeting potential of HA on comparable non-viral NPs, nanodiamonds were prepared in a similar manner. NPs functionalized with HA, together with Bodipy-labeled control variants, were tested on interactions with MDA-MB-231 cells overexpressing CD44. The NP-cell interaction via CD44 was assessed by a competitive cell-binding assay, where non-labeled HA competed for HA-binding sites at CD44 with the NPs. CD44 specific cell interactions were detected in studies with HA functionalized nanodiamonds, whereas VLP-HA* associated with cells in a less specific manner. Control VLPs with polyethylene glycol (PEG) did not interact with the cells. Results indicate that the HA targeting strategy for the VLPs requires optimization to...
Electronic surveillance of current marketing and consumption and its used strategies
Zamastilová, Lucie ; Slavíček, Daniel (advisor) ; Charvát, Martin (referee)
In my dissertation I will deal with the issue of surveillance, which is applied in the area of marketing, consumption and in connection with that in advertising. I will concentrate mainly on the current age and therefore on the electronic surveillance, so the history of the surveillance studies will not be dealt with in this thesis in more detail. The first part of the thesis will be theoretical focusing on the main theses and theories of the current surveillance authors, especially the issues of electronic surveillance. The next part of this thesis will focus on surveillance and surveillance techniques in marketing and consumption. In this part I will also build on the theories of contemporary authors discussing the surveillance topic in the commercial sphere, but I will try to complement the theoretical introduction of the issue with the specific functioning of this phenomenon in practice. The main aim of this thesis will mainly be an overview and comprehensive illumination of surveillance and control issues focusing on the field of marketing and consumption and also mapping its operation in practice. In this part, I will focus on the issue of electronic surveillance in terms of marketing strategies focusing on the application of surveillance on the Internet and particulary on social networks. I...

Targetting prostate tumor cells by polyomavirus virus-like particles
Suchanová, Jiřina ; Španielová, Hana (advisor) ; Němečková, Šárka (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to investigate the targeting potential of mouse polyomavirus (MPyV) based virus-like particles (VLPs) as vectors for directed cell delivery of therapeutic or diagnostic compounds. Major capsid protein VP1 of MPyV is able to selfassemble into the noninfectious VLPs. Our main goal is to retarget these VLPs from its native receptor to the prostatic cancer cells by changing the receptor binding site in the surface-exposed loop of VP1. We introduced a peptide ligand CTITSKRTC, which binds prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), by insertion or substitution into BC loop of VP1. These modifications did not change the stability of the particles and genetic substitution prevented the native receptor binding. PSMA-specific binding of modified VLPs was tested by pull-down assay and surface plasmon resonance. In order to further utilize these VLPs, we tested several approaches for preparation of VLPs as vehicles for compounds delivery into eukaryotic cells. Although the method for encapsidation of the DNA into the VLPs in cellular nuclear extracts, which mimic the in vivo conditions, did not enabled us to produce pseudocapsids, we successfully optimized procedure for dissassembly and reassembly of purified particles. This method will be use for encapsidation of molecules into the...

Targeted advertising on the internet
Pokorná, Alena ; Kubálková, Markéta (advisor) ; Baranyk, Jan (referee)
An objective of the thesis is to evaluate and possibly suggest a more effective use of an ad targeting for a concrete company. This thesis does not aim on providing a unified instruction for similar companies. The evaluation is individual for this company. To reach this objective I describe an internet marketing environment. I focus on objectives of internet campaigns, metrics for ad success rating, types of internet advertising and mainly on types of targeting. I describe the company characteristics, bring the internet marketing situation in this company and suggest possible improvements in this area.
